Ka Leo O Maui is a service dedicated to the idea that
citizens of the land own the government. The voices of the people
must be clearly heard to get the service we expect from our elected
and appointed officials.
We believe within the
many voices on this island is a kind of collective wisdom that
is too often ignored or dismissed.
Send us your opinions
on any local issue, and we'll deliver your message to the appropriate
representatives in county or state government - to the person
or department where it will have the most impact.
Join Ka Leo O Maui and
you'll receive e-mail reports that alert you to upcoming public
hearings on local issues. When a major bill is scheduled before
the Maui County Council, members are notified and asked to send
in their opinions. The results are sent to the Council before
the hearing, to provide the information needed to properly represent
the interests of the people.

Ka Leo O Maui as an organization
is never an advocate for any point of view. We don't necessarily
agree with anything posted in our forums. Our purpose is simply
to gather, publish and forward the opinions that are submitted.
We welcome them all.
